We have pit this little device to the test and found that is actually works. We have tested this on a friend who happened to have a cold sore that moment. At first we where a bit late with the test and applied the device onto the cold sore. The cold sore was already doing it's thing and was a bit open at the time. How this device works is that you press the small button and the red light comes on. You then have to apply the unit onto the cold sore and keep if there until the unit makes a beep sound. The first couple of time it was like playing a game. We wanted to see if they could actually keep it there, but the unit won every time. After a bit of trials and error they finally got it right. So, one can get used to the burning sensation.

It so happened that the cold sore was stopped in it's tracks and the unit prevented the sore from growing. Three days alter my friend felt the tingling feeling on their lips and this meant war. Another cold sore was to make it's way back again. My friend again applied the unit onto the place where they felt the sore would be and to our surprise, it never actually developed. The Herpotherm won the fight.

So I would say yes, we have tried this unit and it really works well. I will recommend this as a unit for every household.
